2015 _ Austin Lee (b. 1983, Las Vegas, Nevada) is a painter based in Long Island City, New York. He received an MFA in painting from Yale School of Art and a BFA from Tyler School of Art. His work has been exhibited throughout the US and internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include “No Fair” at Carl Kostyal, Stockholm, SWE; “Mixed Feelings” at Carl Kostyal, London, UK; “Me Art” at Kaleidoscope, Milan, ITA; “OKOKOKOK” at Postmasters, New York, NY. Recent group exhibitions include “Thinking & Touching, Time” curated by Zahar Vaks at Ortega y Gasset Pro jects, Brooklyn, NY, “Early Man” and “Go With The Flow” at The Hole, New York, NY; “Deep Cuts” curated by Wendy White and David Humphrey at Anna Kustera Gallery, “The Virgins Show Part 2” curated by Marilyn Minter at Family Business Gallery, and “If you’re accidentally not included don’t worry about it” curated by Peter Saul at Salon Zurcher (Paris, FR & New York, NY).
